Saxon Square adds more 1-bed apartments due to demand

Developers at popular Rosebank development Saxon Square have made more one-bedroom apartments available in answer to the strong demand for this type of unit.

Launched in April 2021, Saxon Square recorded more than R90 million in sales in just 10 months, withone-bedroom units quickly selling out. The stand-out development has now reached all pre-sales targets and is scheduled to break ground in May 2022.

Saxon Square is delivered by Tri-Star Construction, while construction solutions company Profica is both project manager and development manager. Profica CEO Tim White says that the one-bedroom units have proved to be particularly popular with investor buyers. “The sales team had even been putting prospective one-bedroom buyers on a waiting list,” says White.

“Before construction starts, we’ve taken the opportunity to redesign floor plans and enlarge some of the former studio units to create one-bedroom units in response to market demand.”

Perfect for an urban lifestyle at the heart of it all, Saxon Square offers that unique blend of modern detail, upmarket suburbia and everyday city access.  Close to the Rosebank Gautrain on Oxford Road, Saxon Square offers luxury studio, one and two-bedroom apartments in the popular suburb at very accessible price points.

In addition to the sophisticated unit designs featuring high-end finishes and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the development’s impressive amenities include a 24-hour concierge, biometric access control, a resident’s café, a pool, a large rooftop garden as well as a garden courtyard, a yoga lawn, an outdoor cinema and a co-working lounge.

An optional comprehensive rental management solution has further enhanced the appeal of Saxon Square as a hassle-free invest-to-let property.

“The management team will be on-site, ensuring everything works like clockwork and delivers to stringent standards. There will even be a full backup power supply and up to two days of backup water available to counter utility outages,” says White.

“Saxon Square truly offers the privacy and comfort of apartment living, with the convenience and service of a hotel.”

White believes the size of the development, at 138 units in total, is a good size for investors and first-time buyers alike.

“Saxon Square remains an exclusive development with great shared amenities. The fact that we’re delivering this in one compact phase, rather than several phases of apartments to be sold and then constructed, is a clear advantage for investors and prospective tenants.

“Buyers will be able to settle in or start letting out quickly, without being on a partial construction site while other phases are completed. We look forward to starting construction and seeing every detail come together.”
